Hey everyone! Patch 2.2 went live last month and was announced on the GG Minecraft Discord. Patch 2.3 is much bigger, so we'll be using forum posts for larger patch notes like these. As promised, each checkpoint in SkyBlock will come with major balance and gameplay updates meant to add content and keep the game competitive. Here's what we've got for you: ► Major Checkpoint Updates - 11/20/19 (11AM CST) ► Mining World [Beta] We're kicking off checkpoint #2 with a big one - introducing The Mining World! The Mining World is a custom world, automatically generated every time the server reboots. You see that villager in the picture there? He's going to be giving everyone daily quests for great rewards, based on the chapter of the JourneyBook you are currently on! Moving forward, Mr. Mining Quests is going to be the predominant way of acquiring important items, like blueprints. The Mining World will have lots to explore, like "fuel" chunks, which you'll learn more about below! ► Fuel Fuel is a new custom item that can be found in the Mining World (it's in the form of coal blocks - you can't miss em!). Fuel will be vital to success in SkyBlock, as it's going to be required to power items like Block Hoppers and the new Spawner Hoppers & printers. Just plop the fuel in the hopper, and you're good to go! Fuel has some interesting properties. Namely, it does not transfer through hoppers. This means that if you place fuel in an item such as a Block Hopper, it won't get transferred down the line. Unfortunately, this property of fuel also has a downside: if you have fuel in a normal hopper, it won't automatically transfer down to items that need the fuel. Don't fret, though, there is a solution, which you'll see down below! ► Block Hopper Changes As mentioned before, you'll need to put fuel in a Block Hopper to get it to run. Every once in a while the Block Hopper will consume a fuel unit in order to continue turning items into blocks. Furthermore, Block Hoppers will be essential to automating Block Frames. Block Frames will no longer convert ingots to their block form automatically, at some point in your production line you must have converted it into blocks with your Block Hopper (or by hand). ► The Fuel Hopper The only difference a Fuel Hopper has from a normal hopper is that it can also transfer fuel. But don't sleep on this one, it will be crucial to efficient fuel delivery systems now and in the future. ► Introducing: The Spawner Hopper Spawner Hoppers, when connected to a stacked spawner, will automatically move spawners into your spawner stack! But there's a catch; to keep the Spawner Hopper running, you're going to need quite a lot of fuel. ► Blueprint Changes As of patch 2.3, blueprints will no longer have infinite uses. They'll make 5 of the item you want and then expire. In order to collect more blueprints, you'll need to receive them as rewards from the Mining Quest NPC. New blueprints unlock as rewards from quests once you've completed the corresponding JB chapter. For example, once you've completed JB 5 you'll be able to collect BlockFrame blueprints from Mining Quests. This change not only helps calm down the rampant progress gained from infinite use blueprints, but it also gives players more of a reason to complete chapters, even if their island mates already have. Thanksgiving Crate And of course, the Thanksgiving crate will finally arrive with patch 2.3! Woo! Misc. Fixes The following have been fixed/changed for patch 2.3: Taken some steps to address new TPS issues that have arrived since patch 2.2. Completely re-coded the auto-pickup logic. Hopefully this resolves some problems with block break delay, but we still have a ways to go before it is eliminated entirely. Made some adjustments to the CAPTCHA anti-afk check. Fixed a potential crash that can occur when using the bounty system. Added AI to CoinFlip, and made some important changes to JackPot (Thanks Buster!) Reworked logic around how Block Frames pickup items. Made the withdraw limit 1Q. Removed a hidden money balance limit that would trigger while chests were auto-selling. Made some changes to the economy plugin to resolve issues of disappearing money. Patched an issue with the disguise plugin using packets that don't exist. - Remember, patch 2.3 goes live on SkyBlock on November 20th at 11AM CST! If you have any questions, comment down below and I'll do my best to answer! Be there, or be nub.
Mining looks great. I love the villager. I will be there so I won't be nub! (You better be there too!)
Now that's some UPDATE. It changes the skyblock game to a prison game 'of a sort' but then it gives the vibe of grinding I like
