Hello everybody! So it's been quite some time since our last major update, and it's time to get back on track! This set of updates features information about our newly added network, Minecade, our upcoming gamemode, Battle Royale, some updates surrounding the state of SkyBlock, and a major Prison update, including bosses! Let's dive in: ► The Minecade and GG Marriage If you haven't already seen our post about this on Minecade, Good Gaming has added the Minecade network to the GG family! Good Gaming is, of course, known for more persistent game modes like SkyBlock and Prison. Minecade on the other hand is one of the most historic minigame networks out there. Together, we have crafted a vision to create a perfect combined network of all types of games in one place! We've got a long road ahead of us, but Minecade is already available from our hub if you'd like to check out what we have to offer over there! Speaking of minigames: ► Minecade Battle Royale (Early Access) That's right! We will be bringing Battle Royale to Minecraft very soon! In fact, we'll be holding a kick off tournament featuring real cash prizes to the winners! More info and newsletter signups is available on our official Minecraft Battle Royale tournament page. Keep in mind that Battle Royale is in early testing, so we expect there will be a number of bugs to squash upon release. Please let us know in the community Discord if you find any. FAQ I've seen other servers trying to make Battle Royale a thing, how is this any different? Instead of just pulling inspiration from other BR games like Fortnite or PUBG, most Minecraft Battle Royale modes are straight up Fortnite/PUBG clones. We've decided to take a different approach, because, well, why play a clone when you can play the real thing? Our Battle Royale instead aims to take advantage of the core features of Minecraft and what makes it so great to produce a version of BR that will feel unique and make sense in Minecraft. While all the features aren't yet fully developed, we plan to go beyond traditional Battle Royale, like introducing crafting elements and even an in-game shop where kills are the currency. Who knows, with the right touches we might even end up with a Minecraft Battle Royale that's even more fun than the big guys! Please tell me those images above are tags?! Yep! The Royale and Soon tags are now available in the Good Gaming store! ► SkyBlock Alright, so this set of update notes only contains a single update for SkyBlock, but I would like to take a bit to go over some of the features you guys have been wondering about, and explain what the hold up is. Block Frames Update Yes, you can now pick up your block frames! Just right click a frame and choose to pick it up! Now you can move it anywhere you want or just trade the whole thing away! In a future update we also plan to add ways to remove mass amounts of blocks from the frame at once. The World Anchors Conundrum World Anchors have been partially broken for some time now. I would like to explain the problem in front of us and how we are working to fix it. The problem starts with spawners. In their current state, World Anchors only keep the chunk they're in loaded. However, mob spawners not only need the chunk loaded, but they also need a player around, or they won't spawn a mob. Now we've tried tricking the mob spawner into thinking there's a player around, and we've tried directly editing the Net Minecraft Server (NMS) code to make spawners not need a player around. In 1.8.8 both of these things are quite difficult to pull off. Sometimes when we had thought we had fixed World Anchors once and for all, they failed us again... But fear not! We are working on a new solution in the form of re-coding our entire stacked spawners plugin to produce our own custom version of the Mob Spawner. These new spawners will always spawn mobs if there is a World Anchor around. Problem solved! The downside - this will take time. Please bear with us and know that we will have World Anchors working like new ASAP. I really appreciate everyone's patience with us during this process. ► Major Prison Update Prisoners rejoice! We have a HUGE new update coming today. Visual Upgrades The above image is a rough look at the new standard layout (lore) for the Multiformer item! Enchants are now divided up into sections, with JillHammer and Explosive being in the "Primary" section, Mining enchants such as CoinFarmer and Efficiency under "Mining", and PvP enchants like Sharpness and Fire Aspect in the "PvP" section. We're also doing away with roman numerals. Now it should be easier than ever to see exactly what enchants are on an item, not to mention it's much prettier and OCD friendly Bosses & Gems (Beta) The long awaited bosses update is finally launching! But what on Earth are they for? Bosses are legendary creatures with extremely high health and a wealth of powerful abilities strong enough to 1 shot even the strongest of armor. The boss featured above, The Skeleton King, is a category 0 boss, the weakest of all boss types. He rides a powerful Skeleton horse with its own set of devastating abilities, such as the ground slam, which raises the Earth around it dealing 1/3 of everyone's health, up to a dozen times. Sounds scary, right? Don't worry, all abilities can be dodged, and the damage of most abilities can be reduced by blocking. Bosses can take a long time to kill if there aren't enough players helping, or if you're under geared. If you die, you have to wait 30 seconds to get back in, and only 30 players can be fighting at once. But the rewards are well worth the grind. Bosses drop game changing gems when they die to both the luckiest and most skilled players. Boss Death Rewards (Cat 0) Deal the most damage to the boss: +1 random, level 1 or 2 gem Tank the most damage from the boss: +1 random, level 1 or 2 gem Land the killing blow to the boss: +1 random, level 1 or 2 gem Participate in a boss fight: Earn eCoins depending on your prestige as well as a CHANCE to receive a random level 1 or 2 gem. Gems can be socketed on your items to gain powerful effects. You can stack gems on your item to increase the level, i.e. socketing two level two gems will give you a level four gem. Here's a list of all the gems that can currently be obtained from slaying bosses: Crit: Helps you kill bosses faster by multiplying your damage every swing. LifeSteal: Has a high chance to heal you every time you deal damage (0.5 hearts per level). PDEF: AKA Physical Defense, massively reduces damage taken from Physical abilities (all of the Skeleton Kings abilities are Physical). Applies to armor. AutoSell: Reduces the amount of time between AutoSells by 0.1s per level (AutoSell every second at level 40). CoinFarmer: Increases the eCoins yield of CoinFarmer by 1% per level. Fortune: Increases the blocks yield from Fortune by 1% per level. JillHammer: Increases the eCoins yield of JillHammer by 2% per level. Can be combined with CoinFarmer gems for insane eCoins gains. Explosive: Increases the blocks yield of Explosive by 2% per level. If you're not also using the JillHammer enchant, this gem will give you the blocks from Explosive even if Explosive does not go off. Can be combined with Fortune gems for insane block gains. Miner Multiplier: Multiplies the profits of the socketed Miner by 0.1% per level. This gem can be gained but cannot currently be used in the beta version. Miner Reducer: Permanently reduces the cooldown of the socketed Miner by 0.1% per level. This gem can be gained but cannot currently be used in the beta version. LEGENDARY GEM - AutoRankup: 1 level maximum. When holding a former socketed with this gem, each time you prestige you will automatically start at Mine 30, rank ID. LEGENDARY GEM - eCoinsNotes: 1 level maximum. When holding a former socketed with this gem, you can withdraw eCoins notes of any size that do not affect your withdrawal limit. Socketing a gem is simple. Open your inventory and drag the gem you want onto your item of choice! Be warned though, you may only socket up to three different gems on any given piece of equipment! Miners can only have one gem! There's a lot more to bosses than we could talk about here. We will be beta testing bosses all this weekend, so stick around and try to come up with strategies to gather those gems! In future updates expect more gems and ways to spawn bosses yourself, such as by finding boss spawner keys from lucky mining! :O -- This update is expected to launch alongside a short downtime within the next 12-16 hours! We're working hard to bring the best updates we can to GGMC, so please post below and let us know what you think! Note: We are still working to resolve some issues with the website. If registering or replying to posts is taking much longer than usual, hang tight, your post should eventually go through. We will have this resolved as soon as possible.
