The name is incorrect. The new and improved survival 1.14.4 was announced on the official GGMC discord and you can check on there for more and up-to-date information about survival until this page gets fully re-worked for the updated version.

Server Summary

Good-Gaming Survival Refined is very different from many survival servers. Survival Refined has a plot world called Haven, which is ungriefable and is 100% Protected. The other two worlds we have are the Badlands and the Wilderness. There are also crates, jobs, and vehicles, which are still in the shop. So no driving around quite yet!

World Types

Different worlds, different rules. Explore, collect resources, and fight mobs in these unique worlds!

SurvivalWorlds.png

Haven

In the Haven, there are 60x60 Plots available to everyone, no monsters, free fly, and crates to open. To get there, select /worlds and pick the Oak Sapling. Griefing isn't allowed! It's always day in the Haven.

SurvivalHaven.png

Wilderness

The Wilderness is the best place to go to explore, make a base, and make a farm. It has a world border of 100,000x100,000 and does not reset. To get there, do /worlds and select either the Grass Block or Netherrack, depending on the dimension you'd like to visit. Griefing isn't allowed!

SurvivalWilderness.png

Badlands

The Badlands are the best place to go to explore, mine, and kill mobs. They have a world border of 5,000 and reset on the 1st of each month. To get there, do /worlds and select either the Quartz Ore or Iron Ore, depending on the dimension you'd like to visit.

Gamerules

Do I lose items upon death? Do mobs break blocks? What are the settings?! Find out here!

Death

If you die, you WILL lose your items! Make sure you know the coordinates of where you died, because you'll be teleported to spawn right when you die! Your items won't despawn as long as those chunks aren't loaded... so hurry up and get your stuff!

Tip: Notepad or any other note-taking device can be your best friend in this server. Make sure to write down the co-ordinates to every major landmark or find you come across along your adventure 'cuz it could very well save your life ;)

Mobs

Mobs CAN break or move blocks in the Wilderness and Badlands! Mobs won't spawn in Haven unless by spawn eggs. Be careful, the longer the Survival server is up for, the tougher the mobs get! After only one week, already mobs spawn frequently with armor and weapons, and can pick up your loot if you die! They can even pick up your elytra!

Griefing

Griefing in Haven and Wilderness is prohibited, so if you see someone doing it, get proof and /report! You could be banned for griefing or stealing, so be careful! Griefing and stealing IS allowed in Badlands! Scamming isn't permitted ANYWHERE on Survival Refined, however. Fire does spread, and TNT does explode.

Other

The server is in 1.11.2. This means that:

  • Eytras are here, and with rocket boosters!
  • The End is all updated (as in 1.9).
  • 1.9 PvP applies... the mobs are tougher too.
  • Two hands!
  • We have shulker boxes (pretty much backpacks)!

You can play the Survival server in 1.8, 1.9, or 1.10, but 1.11.2 is recommended for the full experience.

Jobs

Do different tasks for the jobs you choose to get money! Learn new skills or practice old ones... and get paid for it!

What Do I Do?

Now that you know how the server works, what do you do? In this section you'll find player tips, how to get started, good strategies and tactics, and more!

How to Get Started

One of the first things you should do is to get some gear. To do this, do /kit. See what the best kit you have access to is, and use it! You could also ask other people for some items or kits, because they might have extras and would be willing to give you one!

Next, you should pop over to Badlands or Wilderness and start exploring! Gather some resources, get money from your /jobs, etc. When you're inventory is full or when you're tired of exploring, find your way back to Spawn and make yourself a plot!

To make a plot, do /plot auto. On your plot you can put some chests down with all your loot, make some farms for money, create a sweet base or build, and even add your friends and let them build with you! To allow a player to build on your plot, do /plot trust [username]!

Good luck!

Tips by Players, for Players

  • Get an elytra as soon as possible. It'll allow you to fly anywhere fast, which will let you reach unexplored caves, find new things, and even let you find more elytras real quick!
  • Make a good crop farm to get some fast money early on! Potatoes are recommended.
  • Get shulker boxes! They'll enable you to go on super long mining sessions and more!
  • Villagers, villagers, villagers. An essential if you want to become the most powerful Minecrafter to ever set foot in Survival Refined! Get OP enchants for your items, or even sell books for insane money!
  • Find easy and OP tasks to do for your job to get fast and easy money!
  • Be the top voter each month for OP rewards!
  • Make a mob grinder for fast XP and money!
  • When going for diamonds, mine a downward staircase to layer 11. Mine forwards in a 3x3 area until either you're tired of doing it, you find a satisfactory amount of diamonds, or you hit a whole lot of lava that you can't possibly manage. If any of these things happen just continue in another direction. Run out of directions? Branch off from the other directions you've already mined! by LilSkittlez
